 our green&
sustainable mission

Every little bit helps!

Your wellness and the well-being of the planet will always be our main priorities. We made it our mission to help preserve Koh Phayam’s natural beauty by taking steps to implement green and sustainable initiatives at our resort.

We also encourage our guests to participate in keeping our island home beautiful so others can enjoy it in the years to come.

Some of the efforts we have already started, include:

  • Turning kitchen waste into fertilizer with our decompressor

  • Ordering alcohol in 20 liter totes, not single bottles

  • Replacing plastic straws with reusable bamboo straws

  • Biodegradable takeaway containers

  • Using solar cells for renewable energy

  • Eco-friendly LED lights

  • Refillable soap and shampoo in guest rooms

  • Free water refill station

  • Free reusable tumblers for guests who want to join our ‘No Plastic Water Bottle’ program

  • Free drinks for every bucket of trash guests pick up on the beach

  • Low-flush toilets and low-flow shower heads

  • Room make-up, sheets, and towel change, upon request

project

We started Phayamas Projects as part of our ongoing mission to give back to Koh Phayam and the local community who make our island so special.

In addition to the initiatives we set up at our own resort, each year we commission one project to benefit everyone who lives on and visits the island.

What is

Project 2021: Not all who wander are lost

When some of our guests mentioned they had difficulty finding some of the popular sites on Koh Phayam,

we decided to commission a series of new tourist signs to be placed at key locations around the island.

Printed in both Thai and English, these white signs are easy to see from the road and even feature a map with QR code on the back so anyone can download a free tourist map for their visit.

We love seeing people enjoy what Koh Phayam has to offer and hope you found the signs as useful as we do!

Project 2022: When we care for each other,
We stand as one

We are so thankful for the health care workers who helped us get through the difficult years of COVID-19.

That’s why we are beyond proud to honor their hard work with new lighted signs for the Koh Phayam Health Center – complete with a QR code to scan and contact the local rescue team.

We included three languages (Thai, English, Burmese) to celebrate the diversity of our island and the many people who make our home so safe and welcoming.

Look for the sign on your next visit to the island – and remember to say ‘thank you’ to our wonderful health care team if you see them!

Project 2023: ?????

We're still in the planning stages for next year's project.

Stay tuned for more details!
